About the Instructor
Kyōshi Peter Vermeeren is a traditional martial arts instructor with five decades of continuous training and experience. His path began with judo and later expanded through jūjutsu and several Japanese budō traditions, eventually leading him toward the disciplined study and transmission of classical kobudō. Throughout his career, he has focused on preserving the technical, strategic, and personal principles that define authentic traditional martial arts.
As the chief instructor of Shingankan Dōjō and the representative of the Kobukan Kobudō Renmei in Spain, he teaches taijutsu, bōjutsu, hanbōjutsu, and bikenjutsu through a structured system based on kata, body mechanics, distance, timing, awareness, and practical application. His teaching approach combines technical precision with character development, helping students understand martial arts as a complete path rather than a collection of isolated techniques.
Holding the rank of 6th Dan and the title of Kyōshi, Peter Vermeeren is also dedicated to the formation of future instructors and the responsible continuation of the tradition.
